Earlier this week my Mom gave me a copy of my high school newspaper and my name was featured in it. The article featured our high school tennis team and it was so nastalgic reading it.

Those high school days were filled with great friendships, fun memories, and lots of long practices.

Our coach was an incredible motivator and I learned so much from him about leadership, motivation, and perseverance.

One day during my junior year my coach let me run the practice, which was a major thrill for me. From that day onward I knew my journey in life would be to help people improve their health and quality of life.

As I look back on that day leaving the tennis court I knew my life would never be the same.

I made it my mission in life to help people and it feels so great to touch people’s lives every single day!

One of the ways that I help people is with my videos. Here is a new training video that I just fimed on core strength. Please give it a watch and share it with at least one person who could benefit from this video!

My goal is to help as many people as I can and with your help I am confident it will happen!

Have a great week and see you next week!

Are you one of those people who spend 30 minutes on the treadmill and 30 minutes doing weights? If you answered YES then you will want to keep reading….

Over the past 10 years exercising has changed from long cardio and strength workouts to shorter workouts that combine both cardio and strength training at the same time. Many of you may be familiar with this concept from taking interval training classes at gyms or doing your own workout that combines cardio and strength training at the same time.

In today’s video I am going to be sharing an exercise that combines both upper and lower body and a touch of cardio all at once.

This exercise is that GOOD and it’s at your fingertips… BAM!!

What I love about this exercise is it strengthens a lot of the little muscles in the body that are weak and don’t get that much attention.

Enough said go and watch it now!!

11/02/2015 - Effective Hip Flexor Stretch

Did you know that sitting for extended periods of time can negatively affect your posture? We all sit when we are texting, driving, watching TV or working at the computer.

When you are sitting you are less likely to have a major injury unless the chair breaks, which probably won’t happen….

But sitting for extended periods of time will cause muscle imbalances, poor posture, which all leads to injuries.

When we sit our hip flexors get tight and contricted and they need to be stretched to avoid stiff and achy muscles. Many of you may be wondering where the hip flexors are in the body so to clear any confusion, they are located just above the quads on the front of the thigh muscles.

Many of my clients suffer from tight hip flexors and this stretch enabled them to move more freely and eliminate aches and pains in their back, hips, and knees.

Before you perform this exercise make sure you have a cushion such as a towel or a pillow underneath your knee, which will provide more support.

This hip flexor stretch is excellent and is a perfect stretch to do after you exercise or on days you don’t exercise.

Did you know that 2 million ankle sprains occur each and every year? Did you also know that ankle sprains are the most common sports related injury? Ankle sprains are so common because your feet are the foundation for every move you make.

One wrong move with your feet often leads to sprained ankles. Lateral ankle sprains, which are the most common usually, occur from these two things:

– jumping and landing improperly

The best way to prevent ankle sprains is by properly performing ankle strengthening exercises to strengthen all the ligaments in the ankles. Today, I am going show you an easy exercise that you can do to prevent your next ankle sprain.

All you will need for this exercise is a stretch band and two hands and you are all set!!

I love exercises that will help the entire body… I’m talking about exercises that when you do them you feel relief right away!! There aren’t that many exercises that make people feel that way, but today I am going to show you one of my ALL-TIME favorites.

As I mentioned last week our bodies are meant to move and when the calf muscles get tight it limits one’s ability to walk and run properly. All the time I study and watch people walk and notice that many everyday people don’t walk properly, which results in muscle imbalances and injuries.

Look no further than this amazing calf stretch! When the calf muscles are flexible and functioning properly your body will feel amazing! Check out what a recent client said about this exercise,

“After our session, as I was walking to my car in the parking lot, I truly felt as if I could hurdle cars to get there!”

This exercise just works and I know you will love it….
