People are always shocked when I tell them my body breaks down…. Many of them think I am exempt because I know the body inside and out….

This is truly not the case. I am no different than anyone else and I need to take proper care of my body to prevent injuries. 

I spend SO much time taking care of everyone else that I leave little time for myself and my body has paid the price in the last year…..

I have suffered from more aches and pains in my body in the past year than any other year in my life.

One thing that I have learned is staying positive and the importance of preventative maintenance to keep the body strong….

Today I am going to show you a brand new exercise that many of my clients have never done before. It focuses on the hips, pelvis, and core….

This exercise has done wonders for me and now it’s your turn to benefit from it!!

I hope your 2016 is off to a great start..

Today I wanted to share a fun warm-up exercise that you can do anywhere with zero equipment. What I love about this exercise is it’s fun, get’s your heart pumping and you can do it by yourself…

I have gotten a few requests for simple warm-up exercises that can be done anywhere and today I am going to share a simple one….

This exercise addresses the hips and is great for your workouts that require sidestepping. When performing this exercise aim to do 10-12 sidesteps to your left followed by 10-12 sidesteps to your right. By the time you are done your heart will be elevated and you’ll be ready to get moving!!

If you had to guess, what would you say is the most important part of the body to train? Would you say legs, back, chest, or something else? 

After working in the industry for over 10 years and being ranked one of the top 50 sports coaches in the world I know what the most important part of the body to train is….

Any guesses? 

It would have to be the CORE…

Core exercises isolate the muscles in the lower back, pelvis, abdominals, and hips to work in harmony together. Ultimately, this leads to better balance and stability whether you are throwing a baseball or bending down to pick up something from the ground….

A HUGE perk of core exercises is they don’t require gym equipment or a membership to a gym. You can literally perform them in the comforts of your own home!! 

How cool is that?

08/17/2015 - Top Glute Strengthening Exercise

First I want to write and thank you for all the wonderful comments as they have been amazing and those comments motivate me to create amazing content just for you! 

Now that we got that out of the way this week I want to share an easy exercise that targets the glutes, hamstrings, and calves. Do you have any idea as to why I love this exercise? 

I love it because it isolates all the muscles on the backside of the body. You see when you have strong glutes, hamstrings, and calves everything in the body just works more effectively and your chances of experiencing imbalances are greatly reduced….

This exercise just works and my clients love it! All you will need for this exercise is a resistance and here is the one I love

When doing this exercise make sure not to take too big of steps otherwise you will arch your lower back and that’s not a good thing!
